Nursing Malpractice

Nurses have many and various responsibilities to hospitalized patients, including monitoring blood pressure and other vital signs, giving medications, performing treatments and calling doctors to attend to a patient's urgent needs. In some cases, nurses may fail to provide care recognized as standard practice, which may harm patients. They may fail to recognize serious conditions early enough, fail to notify the doctor of emergencies or fail to give the proper medication.
