Woman alleges two doctors failed to diagnose breast cancer in timely manner

It is very important for medical professionals to not act negligently when it comes to the examining, testing and diagnosing of patients. Diagnosis-related negligence can be extremely harmful to patients. For example, such negligence can result in a delay occurring in the detection and treatment of a condition a patient suffers from. Such delays in treatment can be very impactful. Thus, diagnosis-related negligence can be a very serious matter.

Recently, a medical malpractice case involving allegations of diagnosis-related negligence has arisen in Illinois. The case involves two doctors who reportedly provided care to a woman in Illinois.

The woman alleges that these two doctors acted negligently during the course of giving her care. Specifically, the woman claims that the two doctors: failed to read her mammogram properly, failed to order proper tests for her and failed to diagnose breast cancer she had in a timely manner. The woman claims that this alleged negligence caused her a variety of harms.

A lawsuit has been brought by the woman in a court in Illinois in connection to the above allegations. The two above-mentioned doctors have been named as defendants in this case. Reportedly, the woman is asking for damages in this lawsuit. It will be interesting to see what happens in this medical malpractice case and how it is ultimately resolved.

No patient should have to be subjected to negligence like that alleged in this case. Thus, one hopes that medical professionals are held accountable when they commit diagnosis-related negligence against patients.
