Man brings lawsuit in connection to alleged failure to diagnose

| Dec 2, 2011 | Failure To Diagnose & Misdiagnosis

Great harm can be caused when a medical professional acts negligently in connection to the examination and diagnosing of a patient. Such negligence can result in a patient not receiving a proper diagnosis, which in turn can lead to delays in a patient receiving proper treatment. No patient should have to suffer harm because of negligence by a medical professional.

Recently, a medical negligence case has arisen in Texas involving an alleged failure to diagnose. The case involves a man who reportedly was taken to a hospital in Texas in September of 2010. Reportedly, while the man was at the hospital, he received care from a doctor.

The man claims that this doctor provided him with negligent care. Specifically, the man alleges that the doctor negligently failed to properly diagnose him and sent him home in the middle of a heart attack.

Reportedly, the man has brought a lawsuit in a court in Texas against the doctor and the hospital in connection to these allegations. According to the Ultimate Memorial article which reported this story, in his lawsuit, the man is asking for damages. One wonders what will ultimately happen in this case.

As the allegations in this medical negligence case underscore, it can be very harmful when medical professionals negligently fail to properly diagnose a patient. No patient should have to be subjected to such negligence. Thus, one hopes that medical professionals are held accountable when they act negligently in connection to the examination and diagnosing of a patient.
