Recently, a medical malpractice case involving allegations of surgery-related negligence has arisen in Oregon. The case involves a man who reportedly underwent a surgery in December 2007. The surgery reportedly was on the man’s spine.
The man alleges that the doctor who performed this surgery committed a variety of negligent actions in connection to the procedure, including installing a plate on the man’s spine improperly. According to the man, these alleged negligent actions resulted in him suffering chronic pain and permanent nerve damage.
According to the Herald and News article which reported this story, a medical malpractice lawsuit has been brought by the man in a court in Oregon against a surgical group and the above-mentioned doctor in connection to these allegations. It has been reported that damages are being sought in this lawsuit. It will be interesting to see what ultimately happens in this medical malpractice case.
