It is very important for medical professionals to act properly when it comes to the performance of surgical procedures. If a medical professional commits negligence during the course of performing a surgical procedure on a patient, it can result in the patient suffering serious harms. Such harms can have a variety of significant effects on a patient’s life.
Recently, a medical malpractice case involving a surgery has arisen in Illinois. The case involves a woman who reportedly underwent a surgical procedure at a hospital in Illinois. The surgery reportedly was aimed at repairing bladder dysfunction the woman suffered from.
The woman claims that negligence occurred during this surgical procedure and that this alleged negligence resulted in her suffering a tear in her hip. According to the woman, this hip tear caused her to suffer a variety of harms including disfigurement and disability.
The woman has brought a lawsuit in a court in Illinois in connection to these allegations. In this lawsuit, the doctor who reportedly performed the surgical procedure and the above-mentioned hospital have been named as defendants. The woman reportedly is asking for monetary relief in this lawsuit. One wonders what will happen in this medical malpractice case and how it will ultimately be resolved.
No patient should have to suffer harm because a medical professional failed to act properly during the course of a surgical procedure. Thus, one hopes that all medical professionals make sure to not commit negligence like that alleged in the above-mentioned case. One also hopes that medical professionals are held accountable when the act negligently during a surgical procedure and such negligence results in a patient getting hurt.
